Takedown Policy

Grounds for Takedown

  • Breach of copyright laws, as outlined in the Australian Copyright Act 1968.
  • Violation of privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988.
  • Defamatory content, as defined under Australian defamation laws.
  • Content deemed objectionable or harmful under Australian law, such as material that incites violence or hate speech.

Procedure for Takedown Requests

1. Submission: Requests must be submitted in writing via our designated contact form or email. The request should include:

  • Identification of the content in question (e.g. URL or description).
  • Reason for the takedown request, citing relevant legal grounds.
  • Contact information of the requestor.

2. Review: Upon receiving a request, we will:

  • Verify the validity of the claim.
  • Assess the content against applicable laws and our terms of service.

3. Action: If the request is deemed valid:

  • The content will be removed or access restricted promptly.
  • The affected user will be notified and given an opportunity to contest the decision.

4. Appeals: Users may appeal takedown decisions by providing additional information or evidence supporting their case.

Transparency

We will maintain a public record of takedown requests, excluding sensitive information, to ensure transparency and accountability.

Periodic Review

Content that has been removed or restricted will be periodically reviewed to determine whether it can be reinstated.
